Liv Ulmann This will be a quick one, ’cause i realised we don’t talk about cinema that much on Noisedfisk. And that’s a shame. We should talk about Ingmar Bergmann, about the french-icelandic Solveig Anspach, about Lars von Trier… Anyone interested in contributing?
Today, I read on the Iceland Review daily e-mail that the Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann is on her way to Iceland to make a movie based on í“lafur Jóhann í“lafsson’s novel, A Journey Home (Slóð Fiðrildanna). Ullmann has already written the screenplay and will direct the movie. According to í“lafsson, the film is financed and contracts are signed, a location in Iceland is currently being scouted. Filming will start next summer. A Journey Home is about an Icelandic woman in England who returns home – “a place that reflects the past back to her: a mother who abandoned her, a fiancé eventually killed by the Nazis.”
Sounds fun ;-)
For those of you who suffer from some kind of Alzheimer disease, Liv Ullmann is a Norwegian actress who played lead roles in nine films by Ingmar Bergman (the last being Saraband), with whom she has a daughter…
