is out and fabulous! Frankly, in the clothing section, I liked the Spring 2006 collection a whole lot better, but the A/W 6/7 fabrics are great!
Marimekko is a finnish textile and clothing design company, that has gained a fine amount of international attention. Their philosophy is that design is inspired by the beautiful everyday life, yet they aim to always create something new and avant-garde, and financially profitable. I think you can really see this in their work – it’s quite regular, but very pretty.
And while I’m at it, it seems their Fatboy® beanbag chair has been chosen as the best new piece of furniture in Europe, at the beginning of this month. That’s pretty cool huh! The chair was created by a finnish designer Jukka Setälä.
