Hurra Torpedo: Symphony For Appliances

Hurra TorpedoYou are going to experience something I would describe being typically Scandinavian. Check out (not super safe at work, nothing obscene – it’s rather a turn-off – but you could get some suspicious looks from your coworkers…):

There… When I say typically Scandinavian, it’s about this kind of humor where you’re not sure if it’s really humor, derision, sarcasm or if they are serious. I love it.

Those guys are Hurra Torpedo, the world’s leading kitchen appliance rock group, est. 1993. They play not only covers, but also some original songs.

With appliances, the band has another specialty: yearly split and reunion tours. The members also play in several bands, under a artistic collective project called Duplex Records.

Not sure if you will jump on it, but their last album is Kollossus Of Makedonia. I think you ought to see them live. They have even recently played in the US, including the SXSW festival.
